What this site collects

Short, because the site does very little. If that changes, this page changes with it.

An email address, and whatever you type into a form

The launch list on the home page, the same form on the About page, and the same form again on the Beta page all feed one list, and all ask you for one thing: an email address. The open questions survey can add you to the same list, but only if you tick the box that says so. The form records which page you sent it from, so that someone who read the Beta page first can be told apart from someone who did not. Nothing else.

Three other forms ask questions instead: the screen question on The system, the store question on For stores, and the open questions survey. They ask about your tank and your opinion, never about you — a dropdown or two, a box to write in, and an email field that is optional and says so. Leave it blank and the answer still counts, with nothing attached to say who sent it. The survey is the one of the three that can also put you on the launch list, and it does that only when you ask it to.

Reading the site creates no account and asks nothing of you. It is not quite nothing, though: like every site on the web, the host records the request, and a request carries an IP address. That is under One company sees it, below.

No cookies, no tracking

The site sets nothing in your browser. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no embedded fonts, maps or players loaded from anyone else's server. You are not followed between visits or between sites, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

One company sees it

Hostinger hosts the site, receives the form submissions and runs the mailbox they land in. Like every web host it keeps request logs, which include IP addresses. Nobody else is involved.

What it is used for

One email when the product ships. One when beta opens. A reply, if you wrote something that needs one. That is the whole list. The address is not sold, not rented, not shared, and not used to advertise to you anywhere else. Every email carries a way to stop them.

Answers to the questions and the survey are read and used to decide what gets built. If a number or a sentence from one is ever quoted anywhere, it is quoted without the address that came with it.

Getting removed

Email info@pharospods.com and say so. There is no account to close and no waiting period. The address comes out and nothing is kept in its place.

This page covers the website

The Display Pod and its software are not covered here. A controller sitting on a tank handles different information than a page you read, and it will get its own policy written against what it actually does rather than what it might one day do. The same goes for any phone app.
